What's your favorite movie? Why?
My favorite movie of all time has to be Empire Strikes Back becuase it's all dark and moody, but really, because it's a well made movie with good story elements and good pacing and it just had that dramatic emotional connection with the audience. To be honest it just went downhill from there for the Star Wars franchise.
Other favorites are Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan same reasons as above. Emperor's New Groove, Emperor's New Clothes.
I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

i remember you came to live at our house one year around halloween. you dressed up as a star trek person that year!
... oh wait... was that around halloween? now i'm second guessing myself. but i know you had a star trek outfit!
You're absolutely right about the Starwars franchise going down hill after The Empire Strikes Back for the most part. But the animated Clone Wars stuff is pretty good. They are making a movie and a tv show out of it. Might be ok.

@nephyo -
That's because Genndy Tartarkovsky is involved in the project. His ability to direct and tell a story and his creative team just kick butt. Lucas always tries to be the cutting edge in using technology, but honestly doesn't know how to use it to tell a story. Look at Tartarkovsky's Dexter's Laboratory, or Samurai Jack. Genndy does what Lucas always wanted to do tell stories with actions and without words.
@Palamides - You're right. Tartakovsky is awesome. Samurai Jack just rules!
But it looks like Tartakovsky isn't going to be involved the new Clone Wars animated TV series but the character designs are going to be influenced by his work. The new director is Dave Filoni who worked on Avatar: The Last Airbender. Also good stuff. So I have hope for it.
