This is my favorite movie quote of all time.  Though there are many other quotations that I like i.e. "Khaaaaan!" & "Revenge is a dish best served cold." from Star Trek II or "I want to feel miserable." from Hitch or another favorite from The Matrix "You know, I know that this steak doesn't exist.  I  know when I put it in my mouth, the Matrix is telling my brain that it is juicy and delicious.  After nine years, do you know what I've realized?  Ignorance is bliss."  Yes it is.  It is indeed.

However, that one quote from Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back sums it all up.  It's four word eloqence punctuating the underlying irony of Vader's cold unforgiving choking of Needa.  I like the harshness of the scene brief as it is and amusing as it is. This was the Jerry Maguire line of the Empire for me.

I suppose it also speaks volumes of Needa: honorable and responsible to the last even for being tricked by Solo.  He didn't take it out on his crew, but took responsibility, as foolish as it seems to others, since everyone knows what's in store for him on the command ship.  It says something about Imperials.  That not all of them are weasels like Captain Piett.  That for some Imperials (many) understand that honor and responsibility costs something; that order and discipline requires something more than just self-preservation: obedience even in the face of death--even death at the hands of a harsh and unforgiving master--rebellion is not an option.
